I made a camera mount for the front of my 350 last night and just had to go try it out first thing this morning. I was all alone out in the middle of nowhere so I couldn't get to crazy, but it was still a fun ride.

Awesome area to ride.Sounds like your Odyssey runs really well.I'd hate to break down out there and you're all alone!! What type of camera were you using?-I've tried my Sony SR-45 with no success,It can't take the jarring.
I loved how you avoided the mudhole-smart move without a buddy.

Yea it is an awesome place to ride but the mud out there can be bad at times. Last weekend I met up a guy I met on an Odyssey/Pilot forum and we rode out in the same area. It was muddier than h*ll in places and there were a few times I almost got stuck. Here is what I looked like after a couple of hours out there last weekend. :D

I hit some deep whoops to fast way back in there and flipped my Odyssey and broke a rear fender and knocked the tire off the bead ending our day. :(

Today, I didn't want to chance it being alone & so far home, plus I was trying to keep as much mud off my camera as I could.

Thanks, I think the camera was around 200.00 or so. We have had it for a year or two, so honestly I can't really remember.

Great vids Rarerat! I could see how you were nursing it around the mud and whatnot being alone, and I could see how easliy you could do a tire pop and flip on some of those rutted out ravines at full bore! Looks like a great area to rip it up!

That looks like a great area to ride. Nice vids. Just to add a tidbit for anyone interested in a cam geared for riding. The Vholdr contour hd is a very nice camera with amazing quality and can be had with goggle mounts and handle bar mounts that will work on buggy frames, they can be had on ebay for under $300.

Thanks guys, It is a really neat place to go ride if you have a day to kill. You can ride all day long and never hit the same trail twice. The only down side is if you are out there alone like I was when I made the videos, you better take it easy, because it could be really easy to get hurt out there and there is no cell phone signal way out there, at times you could be 5 or 6 miles from the truck way down in that canyon.

The week before when I met up with Steve, was the first time I had my Odyssey out there, If you watched all of the videos I posted at about half way thru the third video you can see where I topped out a big sand hill and then headed down the other side. It was at the bottom of that hill I rolled my Ody. The other guy was leading and he made it up the hill. I only made it about 3'4 of the way before I spun out, so I reversed back down the hill and tried to hit it at a run. I made the mistake of keeping the throttle pinned across the deep whoops at the bottom of the hill and that was all it took for it to get away from me.:banghead: Luckily I wasn't hurt but it made for a long slow ride out of there with the bead broke on the rear tire.:(
