I'm having a few problems with my Carbide. It is pretty hard to start. It takes a few turns of the key to roll over. The first thing I did was check the air intake and found it stuffed with filters. I removed them and the engine idled beautifully. When it gets going, it seems to have no power when it's put under any pressure. For example, when I try to go up any hill, you can really feel the engine kinda puttering along. When I hit the downhills, the engine comes to life and picks up some pretty good speed. I changed the oil and lubricated everything I could think of. Also, when I depress the gas pedal all the way it feels like I have a loss of power. I have to let off the gas (about half way) and it picks buck up again. It has around 700 miles on it and I purchased it used. Sorry if I kinda rambled, I was just typing as I thought of things. I am a total noob when it comes to this, so please be gentle.

Just what olderthan says. Make sure you are using an air filter. It sounds as if your main jet is restricted. If the buggy was setting for any amount of time the crap fuel we have today will break down and plug things up. Also important is to check the valve lash .003 int. .005 exh. adjusted cold. Add your location to your profile. TOM

always put your location in
it helps for jetting your carb when you modify
make sure you always run a filter
most airbox's are not good "grap"
consider going to a uni filter
