It is amazing to me the inconsistency these 150's have in the carb department. The ASW 150's have a stock 114 jet size and almost always are running lean to where they want a 128 or so main jet in stock form. I worked on a Baja Reaction the other day. I was shocked when I pulled the carb apart and found that it had a 109 main in it. I promptly put one of the 114's in from an old Helix exchange and it didn't like it. Ran rich on the top end. Put the 109 in it and it was happy as could be.

Go figure.

I think alot of it has to do with the muffler from each manufacturer. Some kinroads I have seen a 110 and a muffler that had a catalytic converter in it

I have a set of K&N cone style air filters that I bought for the KZ900 motor intalled them and they ran great, a little more bottom end power and some through the bands, but I started having over heating problems, took it to a Kaw mechanic and he said im getting to much air and its running really lean now. He told me to take the 4 stock 115 jets out and put in 130-137 jets and it should stop overheating. Still thinking about it, it's pretty fast right now diong the jet change would give me 10 to 12 more hp, so I put the stock air box back on it and it runs fine now. There are no adjustments on those carbs except for a air idle screw.

Wow! That much difference, hah vator?

Evan, you need to be sent a 140 main for the Helix as well. You have the stock exhaust on it?
