I know my Yerf-Dog model is #3205 but I don’t see any number(s) anywhere on the kart, like a VIN. There is numbers for the Tecumseh engine but not on the kart.

I’m trying to register it for OHV use (California) and DMV is asking for a VIN or manufacture’s ID number. I don’t have the original receipt for the kart (the kart was given to me).

Is there one hidden on the kart somewhere?

Not that i've found, and i've stripped down every square inch of mine. In PA you have to have a title to be able to do anything registration wise with any state agency with everything from a mini bike to a trailer to a car. Without one you're pretty much scroobied. Since I've rebuilt and modified so much of mine, I intend to apply for a VIN as the manufacturer of it so that I can register it as a class 2 atv with the PA Dept of Nat. resources so i can ride it on state gamelands roads/trails. My daughter's HH mini shark has a vin tag, but i have not title for it. PA will not allow bill of sales for retitling either, so I'm probably goign to do the same as mine since I heavily modified that as well.

Owned many different Yerfdog models!! There isn't any I.D. numbers on any of the ones I've owned- not even part #'s stamped on anything. I've had 2 original reciepts given to me when purchasing them used with no identification #'s or serial #'s or year model on the reciept when sold from the big box stores (only a model #).

Yerf-Dog used paper/plastic labels with the serail number. If you washed these off, there is no other VIN other than the engine serial number.
