I've also thought I had leaks with tubing my JD tires only to find that it's just the air being forced out from between the tube and the tire casing. I hate having to tube tires ....

Yeah well thats just the beginning... Bought a new exhaust that was designed to fit the gy6. Guess what?

Yup, it is now cut up into its various components and sitting on the shop floor. I thought only race parts were the ones that didn't fit without work. Oh well, time to play erector set!

Not that its the sellers fault. BMI has been good for yerf parts throughout this build. But I couldn't get the bracket to mount over the kick start stub. The muffler body hit the cvt case.
So I mocked up a new design using an exhaust flange I got off ebay and some 1-1/8 tube I had leftover from the race car. Being that my gy6 is rigidly mounted with the chain having a idler gear for adjustment, I ran the muffler to one side and under the case. This way I can take the cvt cover off without issue. Pics to follow when its done.
