View Full Version : sprocket teeth 72t 80t? what the diff

:dunno:I have a manco critter 415 which has a 80t drive sprocket and my question is that the 72t is half the price what is the diffence i know less teeth will it work and will a 72t make it fast or slower!!! i dont know so please explain thanks chris

Less teeth= more torque
More teeth= more speed.
As for the price diff theres probably a diff in quality. You typically get what you pay for with these China made buggies.

you also want to find out what chain yours uses along with the new one to make sure they match.

thanks for the advice guys i have a 12 teeth clutch and #35 chain what would be a good drive sprocket? and thanks bear it is alot of fun also whats a great clone engine? or good engine

Good to have you here. What we need to know about the chain is what size it is i.e. 048 or 50? that determines what size sprocket you get for it. imoo the best clone engine is the gy6, more parts. more performance upgrades, etc.

sorry chris i see u said u had a #35 chain, so now u need to determine do u want speed or torque

and can i change the hole set up to a i guess bigger chain if thats even bettter i dont know please tell me how this all works and the best way as in duribilty
