 Well its that time again to start planning for the 2013 Anual Buggy Bash. It will be held again at St. Joes State Park in Missouri. The set date is June 28-30, 2013. It may seem early but vacations have to be planned. Hope to see this Forum well represented. If an electric site is desired you will want to reserve your spot not much after Dec. 28 2012. E1 thru E15 usually go the quickest and 101 to 125 is usually pretty full by mid to late January. As I said last year you will have a great time. The park is great with warm showers and clean clean restrooms, not to mention the people you'll be ridding with are the best. This focuses around buggies and the family. If anyone plans on comming just post in this thread and if interested in drag racing send me an e-mail @ tom@sycpowersports.com to let me know what you'll be ridding and if modded or not.:banana::banana::party:

Just to let all know there are 2 camp sites with electric. One is full the other almost 3/4 full. There aar also non electric sites which this year can be reserved. For many it is a drive but I assure you, you'll have the time of your life. Family oriented with focus on kids events and again well have the drag's, hill climb, and scramble. Naturally in the evenings the adults will consume their adult drinks and eat well. On friday our own Funnyman will again host his famous Hamburger Heaven providing all buggybash participants with hamburgers and hotdogs. Spotless restrooms and warm showers. You can go to St.Joes web site and see all the accomodations they offer. Really hope to see more from this site attend. Again the 2013 Annual Buggy Bash will be at St. Joes State Park in Park Hills Missouri June 28,29 & 30. Park Hills MO is about 1 hour south of St. Louis and appx. 40 miles west of Interstate 55. Many have reserved the whole week. If anyone plans to attend and are interested in the drag races please e-mail or PM me with what you will be racing so I can calculate the classes for ordering trophies.

I can't Imagine what it would be like "tooling" around in the woods with you crazy's!!! :laugh2:

It has been a yearly thing going on 7 years now. Just have the school relocate the band camp to St. Joes. See problem solved.

I'll be in 11 like last year. I'm hoping we get more people from this forum. I'm trying to talk Bear into convincing the other parents to moving the band camp to St. Joes.We can have a marching buggy band competition. Someone needs to drag the MetalStudMan down there as well. Seriously all, you just don't know what you all will be missing. If there's anyway you can make the trip come on down. SoapKart , if you will be in the drags e-mail me with what your runnin and mods.

If they will let us do the show longer or to days in a rowe we can show, are trail rides,or past and present slide shows. bring a zip or your laptop or send me a down load... Im open to suggestions:hooaray: anyway just thought it would be a funn thing to bring to the

I don't see it being a problem prior to 10:00 but after it would have to be way toned down. We have a pretty good relationship with the rangers. Campground 1 sites 1-15 have 20amp service and I believe we have all those spots, sites 100-120 have 50amp service but not sure if we will have it filled as well like 2 years ago. The last 2 years we talked about having a movie night but it had never materialized. Sounds like a great idea. There will be plenty of laptops and smart phones there as well not to mention the sport/helmet cams. So plenty of footage to be shown. Friday night is Hamburger Heaven night at the Funnyman's site 10, so that would be a good first night eat, drink and watch the big screen. Saturday is when we will hold the drags, scramble and hill climb as well as the groupe ride and groupe pictures. So again there will be plenty of video to show.

Anyone bringing a dirt bike as well? Too taboo for a buggy bash?
is there a headcount yet?

SYCARMS
02-05-2013, 10:26 AM
One member from Conneticut his son rides a dirt bike. About 20 sites are reserved, some will be in the primative. Several have said they are comming but camping in primative. Several will be camping on someone elses site. You can put 2 tents on the electric sites.Everyday more are announcing their campsites.

SoapKart

Definitely can bring a dirt bike. I took both and that(YZ250) is all I rode the first day I was there.

Depending on how things go that may be all I have to bring. Still should be a good time.

I will be there early on the 29th and leave after riding on Sunday the 30th.
I have the spot (123) for the 28th-30th though.
I wanted to be able to run a fan and other electrics as needed

Others may come with a razor xp and a sportsman 500

There are many other places with probably better trails but this place is #1 in camping and the trails although a bit more strategic are still great and if speed is your game there are the sand flats. Since I usually spend much of my time runnin my mouth socializing there are so many trails I have yet to discover. My sone and his uncle found some more traditional trails which were not as rocky where one could fly down. After a long day of playing the warm showers are great. The rangers and office personal are the best as well. And you can't beat the buggy people either. Anyone still contenplating, take the plunge and make the trip again I guarentee you'll have a great time.

Do they require advance payment for a campsite? And what's a good site to ask for? I want to be close to the action.

SYCARMS
02-08-2013, 12:39 PM
All sites can be reserved but you can also get them on a first come basis. To reserve a site you have to pay in advance and have up to 2 days to cancel I believe. I believe the main site 1-15 is sold out but you will have to go to their website to see or call them. The next camp which is right around the corner is 100 and up. This is also an electric site with pull through campsites. This camp appears to have open sites.

truck's wiper blade broke off this afternoon and got a nor' easter coming my way and didn't get my temporary C-O-O for the new biz and broke a tooth 2 days ago and put a drill through my finger yesterday and haven't gotten my taxes finished yet and the phone lines at work went kaput and .... :blackeye: NOW I know WHO to blame it all on! Knew there was a reason I decided to read this thread ....

Best watch out when things smooth out here in a couple weeks, murphy's going to be on the hunt to :buttkick: someone else! oh wait, that's when my build will start ... aaawww sheeeeiiittttt!

Not much buzz about this. I got rid of buggy but have reserved site so am still coming.

Will definitely have some sort of trail worthy buggy for 2014.

It would help me and maybe others to have not have it at end of month. This is when my company does most of its business and i cant take off work

looking forward to seeing everyone and their rides.

The reason for having it at this time is since people are comming from all over some schools are still in session the week prior and the 4th is the following week. Once you get past the 4th many are gone on their family vacations. A small window but it works best in getting the largest number of people to showup at one time.

SYCARMS

It is usually in the mid 80's with low humidity except for the spoiled ones from out west who complain when the humidity gets above 15%. To me if it's 60% or lower I consider it heaven.:laugh2:

05-28-2013, 02:52 PM
That's what I heard anyways. People where saying they patrol the "other side" pretty often and enforce the 10 cerfew. Me and my buddy was hopin its kinda over looked and just a mutual party/social event...lol.

SYCARMS
05-28-2013, 03:14 PM
The only place I know it to be quiet would be at the Holiday in Farmington. Usually the 100 side is quieter but due to one member who complains that he needs his rest it will be too tempting not to move the party at some point next to his camp. LOL

Kearney
05-28-2013, 11:29 PM
Me and Tom are fairly quiet, Its the dang coolers that make all the noise dragging them across camps trying to find people that are still awake at 3am.

SYCARMS
05-29-2013, 12:21 AM
I agree it had to be the cooler and not us being loud, cause I don't think we could even talk at that point. One thing for sure, the person who traded site 9 for one in the 100 sites thinking it will be quite never figured into the equasion his neighbor is Big Sarge and Little Sarge, and I know for a fact she as petite as she is could drink me into a coma. I hope it has a turnout like 3 years ago where we had 99% of the spots taken and were never bothered for being too loud. Can't wait for another great meet, hopefully the weather will be like the past years. Is Misty going to have any Pink shirts this year?
