Does anyone know the engagement rpm of the stock clutch springs, and can you go lower?

For some reason I am thinking they are about 1000 RPM. I'm curious as to why you would want to go lower.

Mine came with 1000 RPM springs.

My engagement is about 1500 rpm, I would like it to be at 1000 rpm. This coupled with the fact that I found assembly oil on the friction pads - you really had to rev-it-up to get going.

if there is oil on the pads then there is probably a leak, try and sand the pads with some 80 grit sand paper to see if the oil will come off

I have cleaned the pads with chemicals & sanding - now takeoff is good, but rpm is higher than should be. I think 1000 rpm springs would do the trick.
