You may find that you need to rejet to accomodate the extra air flow.

I gutted the entire muffler and it did not get as loud as i thought it was going to but i did have to rejet the carb. Cant remember off hand what size the jet. It dfid make a big difference in the performance. Welcome to the site. My name is Eric

sup im evan youll see me a lot and uh yeah i have a helix and all i did to the muffler is takke out the spark arrestor :)
