Cup the Air Intake and it will run
I have a Helix 150, Will not start. If I cup and throttle with my hand the air intake hose and put resistance on it, it will start and run.
3 years ago had a new fuel petcock valve ( 1 line to fuel and 1 line for vacuum activation). Buggy only has 30 hours of kid time on 1 acre yard and a few neighborhood short runs. I have thrashed it a few times in the yard. Hate to swap a carb if that is not needed. Buggy is 4-5 years old. Garage kept. I have inspected hoses. I have torqued manifold down. I have installed a new choke. Tightend and reseated air cleaner to carb. Inspected vacum pump. Does anyone have a vacuum hose diagram?? I want to buy new gaskets for manifold. Should I put real clamps on each hose?? What would you do? Any advise appreciated. I hope Delaware snow is coming. Thanks, Uparms! |
Sounds like you aren't getting enough gas. Clogged jet maybe?

Check the valves, probably need reset.

You didn't mention if it's been sitting any great length of time as in bad gas . I've had fuel problem's in as little as 60 day's . When carb. Cleaning a lot of folk's neglect the pilot jet !!!! - not just the oriface , but the removeable tube with the series of tiny holes is prone to plugging . As far as new choke there is also a ballast resistor plus the wireing to question .there is info on this sight to visiually check and measure choke operation .
