Bought a fixer upper Trail master XRX mini for grandkids

I have a Trailmaster XRX-R Mini with a 6.5 Honda Clone. Could not keep the engine running so I bought a new carb. Had to put starting fluid in carb to get the engine running.
It ran reallly good but if it sets for more than 10 minutes it wont start. Cleaned tank out put new gas in it. replaced the sparkplug with NGKBPR6ES 7131. The choke is also working. Any suggestions? One other question what do they call this engine. Trying to find the a replacement valve cover because the one on there has a bad gasget and the hose that comes out to the airfilter is split.
