ignition coil clicking... that is it..
 

finally got my engine installed. Wired everything up. Installed a new battery and when time to bring her to life I only get a clicking sound coming from the ignition coil.

I do not have a PHD in electricity but I know this more worked 6 months ago when I bought it.

What could I be missing?


I have installed a new battery, double checked to make sure my ground is secure. The buggy has gas. What am I missing.

What else could I do or need to check.

Bypass it with a screwdriver. If she starts you have a bad starter relay

engine is grounded as well? I can';t remember if i use the relay on my wiring harness or if there was one on that engine. if it came to you with the wires cut, then it's ng. if it came with intact wires with a plug on the starter relay, then it worked when i did the test run on it. gonna look at my video to see if i can spot it.

I test ran it with the starter relay in my carter harness. if it had a relay on the engine with the wires cut, then it was NG. Didn't think i sent one with it? can't remember.
