spacing the axle

I was just thinking about putting my reverse gearbox on, and I was wondering if I would have to space my sprocket over? Shouldn't I have to space it off to the right? (assuming I'm facing the rear of the kart).

If so, then I might have an issue, because the sprocket mounting plate is on the right side, and my sprocket is on the left, so will I have to pop off my axle and switch where the sprocket is?

thnx

Make sure you have the correct parts before you begin.

I can't help you with spacing and the stock axle since I didn't have the longer output shaft installed at the time of these pics.

I then installed the heavy duty axle with the correct output shaft and could adjust the sprocket to wherever it need to be.

This is a great thread to follow along before you begin. That way you can see the issues I had when I did mine, and save yourself some growing pains.

Hm... well I did learn that at least I can just space it to the left...phew! I was afraid I'd have to put the sprocket on the OTHER side of the mounting plate. :p

I bought a buncha washers to space it like davcruz said he did, so we shall see.
