Carbide oil filter

I found the oil filter I need to change my oil on
http://amsportworks.gostorego.com/pa...il-filter.html

Does anyone know if there is a replacement I can just pick up at the local auto store? Maybe the number? I hate paying shipping and handling and want it now.....:grouphug:

guessing I have to order it from ASW

Masteryota 06-07-2013 05:46 AM

You could pull the old one off and measure the thread size and pitch, and if you have a capable parts guy, they could match one up. Thats all I know.

I tried the same thing with my SV1000, turns out, suzuki uses some bastard thread pitch that no one else uses, so I have to buy the filters from the dealer, at $18 a pop.

Boo. Thanks Masteryota.
Will attempt.

Menards carries them in their stores if you have one close. Or Ebay is a lot cheaper.

I get mine from a local polaris dealer, it's an actual polaris filter, can't remember the part number off hand. I can check when I get home from work.

I do have several Polaris dealers in the area, that would be great if you could get me the part number. Thanks GM
No Menardz in the area Carbide Ohio .

Yay yay.

Sorry for the delay, the filter I've been using is a Polaris 2520724

2SlickNick 06-08-2013 07:15 PM

Thanks Dude!! I ordered one from ASW a few days ago, but will be going to Polaris dealer next time. Thanks again.
FYI this carbide is stock and awesome.
I went up and down some gnarly terrain today and it dominated it.
The trails were 80% up and down hill 20% flat.
Some of the grades were 30-45degrees any where from 20' - 100' feet long
The trails were tight and I was very impressed this Machine would not be far behind a quad in these trails.

Mine impressed me too, I've been into the off road scene for a long time, but I've always used trucks, I'd never risen a quad or anything. That all changed when the father in law surprised my daughters with this carbide, I've been very impressed with it ever since
