AmSportCarbide1500 (gy6) bogging down..

So far in the saga thats my go kart, after getting a new carb on it, which seems to have fixed the startup issues. I was able to get it around the track. (and by track I mean I have a loop setup for running this about 1km)

Starts off pretty good, its all grass and compact earth. Then i go downhill, and through a straight away, through some fence gates, loop around and back .

Things go well, until i get to that hill. It slows right down while trying to make it up the hill, enough that im thinking there is something wrong, as it seems that there should be more power to it, but Im not getting it. Either im just too old and fat to be riding in this (250lbs) or I dont have it working at well as it should be.

I was going to send one of the kids to do the loop, but I havent gotten the seat to go forward enough for them to reach the pedals. (another topic)

What should I be looking for as to a loss of power while coming up a hill?

To get a clue! does it throttle up quickly? does it seem to get anywhere near 6,000 rpm? if yes to these questions then it's clutch/belt issues. I'm assuming your hill isn't massive.

Not massive no. Ill take a picture of it. I was actually looking to put a tach on it so that I can better adjust the idle, this clinches it.

Thank you, I appreciate your help on this.
