Here is a link to the parts manual for the Carbide. In there you will have a break-down of the components.

Thanx appreciate it.

Dang, I was hoping to see this '1500cc' carbide, oh well, nice buggy either way.

i have a spare key switch previous owner lost the key how would i wire that up? on the spare there is batter ignition and accessory and then there is a nut on the top of the key switch. the wire that is connected to the switch is white red and green. then the plug under the dash that key switch plugs into is black red yellow/red. what wires go to what?

Masteryota 08-07-2013 05:08 PM

You have a key to the new switch?

Thats a tough call without a wire diagram, or someone on here that ones one and can look at theirs.

I got these links from ASW hope they help. They have helped me with my carbide.
Last page of the first link is wiring diagram. Bookmark them in your computer. I am sure they will help you too. They are pretty detailed with all internal engine parts too.

ok i think i got it to get spark now and hopefully wired correctly. i had it running but it would just sputter. might be cause the air box wasn't on. now it won't start now. is the speedo suppose to flicker when your trying to start the buggy? I think i might have to play with the switch that is on the electrical box cover. there is a shut off on there also.

2SlickNick 08-07-2013 11:03 PM

The guy I bought mine from bypassed that kill switch in the back due to it not starting for some odd reason.

SFORCES 08-08-2013 12:45 AM

How did he by pass it? just unplug em? do you know what the plug with green and yellow
wire plug to? mine isn't pluged to anything. also there is a plug that has yellow pink green blue/yellow and red/black the red/black isn't connected to anything. is it connected to anything on yours?

2SlickNick 08-08-2013 03:07 PM

To by pass switch he simply unplugged blue and green wires and joined them together.
I am not sure about your other wires I gave you the link for the wiring diagram; check it out.

SFORCES 08-08-2013 07:53 PM

can you look in your box and see? i didn't seen them in the diagram you gave me in the link. I took the carb off to clean it can you tell me where the bottom hose goes that come out the bottom were you change the jets? also on the air box there is a big spiral black house that come out the side of the air box sent to were you hook the carb back into were does that go or hook up too?

2SlickNick 08-08-2013 08:21 PM

The bottom hose on the carb just hangs down. That is your overflow hose. That corrugated hose that comes out the side of the air box goes to the air scoop (between the head rests). That is what feeds your air filter. I am unsure of the wires. I won't have time for several days to look in the box "sorry".

SFORCES 08-08-2013 10:50 PM

OK Thanx for all you help. wonder if i can order that or not?

2SlickNick 08-08-2013 11:32 PM

No prob. You could order it, but just use some 1/4 tubing for carb and some flexible tubing for air box. Or get a uni filter. I like the box because it protects filter.

I just notice that the steering is hard to move. what do i need to check and do to fix this?

2SlickNick 08-11-2013 05:41 PM

Not to sure about the steering. Is it tight while in motion too?
I guess you could lube the rack and pinion. Check tie rods are appropriate setting.
You can find all that info in those links I gave you.

SFORCES 08-11-2013 10:10 PM

we pushed it off the trailer and it was hard to turn the wheel's left and right. can't say about in motion till i get the tranny part's and be able to test her out. I think she might of been outside a while.. I'll check out the link's..

2SlickNick 08-12-2013 03:18 AM

An little tightness is normal I think. As long as it moves smoothly while in motion.

SFORCES 08-12-2013 09:30 PM

doesn't move smothly. maybe i should do a video to so how hard it is? it hard to turn. i mean you have to crank on it right or left to even move it.

x-bird 08-12-2013 10:13 PM

could be the tie rod or spindle ball joints are bound up or gunk and dirt in the rack. I'd disconnect the tie rods and see how well the rack moves by itself. also look for anything bent/twisted out of place around the spindles.

SFORCES 08-13-2013 12:46 AM

ok thanx i'll check those out..

SFORCES 08-13-2013 01:17 PM

Well i don't know what i did but i moved the buggy around some and now the steering is moving more now. i did notice that the steering wheel is bent.

Here are a few pics of the buggy can some one with the carbide take some pic of the back of the buggy around the transmission so i can see what is missing and how it look's when there is everything on it. top side view bottom etc. also can you take a pic of what the other hose connect to the air box and behind the seats?

2SlickNick 08-13-2013 05:34 PM

I put a couple pics up in my album if you want to view them S-Forces. hope it helps. Also don't forget to bookmark the link that THE BUGGY MASTER posted at the top of this thread. Very helpful with parts.

Carbide-Ohio 08-14-2013 10:55 AM

Your tight steering could be from the Nylon bushings sliding out of place on your steering wheel shaft. They just need to be pushed back in.
