GY6 Big Bore Kit?
Does anyone here have one of these on their buggy? What all did the machine shop have to do for you? I heard you have to have some heavy boring done.

all you haft to do is to grind the inside of the case apart to let room for the new cylinder to go in... i had a 170cc (61mm) cylinder in the buggy at one time... it blew up so i found a used motor on ebay and put it in it... the "shelf life" on the big bore motors are substansaly less (50-80 hrs) and of you stroke it you haft to run a 30percent less RPM than with the 150... ide personally rather have a fast reeving motor with good power all the way through the RPM range than a torque monster with very low RPM range...

i wish i had one i wonder how much faster my carbide would with clutch mods and a performance cdi box
|
their is no change in speed just torque.. the only thing that will change your speed is sproket, gear changes, and the clutch and rollers... i would reccomend goin with the 9gram rollers for the first mod for any motor with a CVT (Continusly Variable Transmission)

well right now we have 12 gram rollers and it is timeed in perfect for our feild
