mid rpm miss

I have a carbide 7150 with a uni filter. I put in the 130 main jet.when I quickly give it throttle it misses at a certain rpm and continues revving without missing a beat. This happens whether I'm in neutral or driving. If I slowly give it throttle this does not happen. idle and wot are fine. This is mainly a nuisance coming out of turns. I tried going with the 125 jet just because it is the only other jet I have. This gave me a little more power but did nothing for the miss. Neither got better nor worse. Also at wot I randomly get a little blip. I live at about 200ft above sea level in South texas.

What other mods have you done? You may need to change your pilot jet as well, or try adjusting the pilot screw and see if it changes your hesitation.

The random 'blip' at WOT will be harder to diagnose, but start with above and see where you are.

No other mods. I do have a busted muffler which may be flowing more than stock. I know the stock main was 114.not sure what the stock pilot is.tried adjusting screw to no avail.

I remember reading on the internet somewhere about carb tunning. Idle to 1/4 throttle = pilot jet mid range throttle = needle adjustment and wot = main jet. But you mentioned about your muffler being broken you may want to check that first before adjusting anything on your carb. " I'm no mechanic". :)
