Bull dog 200 utv SXS

Can a Yerf dog dune buggy engine assembly be bolted to a bull dog 200 swing arm, with minor modifications. I think both are by American sports works. Thanks

I am not 100% sure what the bull dog refers to, but the yerf dogs were not ever made by ASW. Yerf Dog was it's own company until they went under around 2004. The buggy engine should be a 150cc Howitt. Some pics of the bull dog might help though.

Its a utility vehicle sold by Home depot, supplied by American sport works, called a bulldog 200, 150cc SLI engine 2x4 sxs, I believe it has the Subaru motor, any way I have the rolling truck and need a complete engine and trans, I found a crate motor from a yerf dog, and was wondering if I could bolt it up in mine. A friend have the land master version which is almost the same version of mine.

I would have to see the original engine. I don't think subaru made any of the GY6 style engines. The subaru's we see are the industrial type engine with a TAV attached to it. There are several models of Yerf Dog that used the techumseh engine/TAV combo, but it is still the industrial type engine.

If you are after a new industrial type engine, I would suggest looking at the Predator line at HF. They seem pretty rugged and at a fraction of the cost of a new Honda or subaru engine.

In this case, pics are needed for further discussion, so we know what type of engine you need to replace.

Interesting. Assuming it uses the ASW/HH internal reverse, the yerf engine will not have reverse, but you can add the external gearbox to it. As for the swap, it should be pretty similar.
