Carter Talon DLX150 Rebuild

Got a call out of the blue from a facebook friend saying they had a buggy like mine they had been trying to fix for a few months. He said I could have it and if I could fix it then awesome if not he didn't care any more...
had it home the next day and purring like a kitten within the hour. CV Belt was mangled as I suspected. The previous owner messed up the transmission cable spacing Replaced the ignition and undid the janky start switch added in the back. Replaced the Rectifier Sanded and painted the frame Made a custom bench seat Replaced the solenoid swapped in battery saving LED lights Removed the old brake system will be adding a single disk brake and E brake unit to the back and skipping the front two ****shows Welded a screwdriver handle onto the shifter nob to make it a bit more userfirendly... and to match my xfire 150r's handywork all in all impressed with the turning radius over my xfire 150r Very excited to have two to zip around trails on with friends now. I plan to keep this a one seater and use the space for cargo. Plus I don't know more than two people I would want to go into the woods with. |
good save on a buggy :). maybe post in the general discussion you will get more feedback.
