Anyone have a carter talon gsr150r2? Need wiring help pics/info

Boy this one is a treat. I bought a talon in great shape the other day. Guy said clutch broke. Otherwise good but battery dead too. Sure as heck the rear clutch grenaded. I replaced everything. With new. Put a new battery in it too. Got nothing. Wont even hit a lick. Im about 12 hours in this thing and the wiring is quite a treat. If you know wiring, imagine a 3 way ignition switch. You have hot going in. One to supply power to all the other circuits when the key is in the on position, and the third to supply power to the solenoid...at least that is how it should be and in fact. The wiring diagram confirms that this is how it should be BUT...and there's always a but...the ignition switch was actually wired to the ground junction bundle under the dash. The colors that the diagram says should be there aren't used. They say red black and Y/R and this thing goes to green, green/yellow and yellow/red. My first thought is that this thing had ignition replaced but honestly all appears to be factory tie ins.

After many hours at it I am starting to think that they really did intend it this way. The other side of the solenoid is tied to the feed to the speakers and supplies the hot for them and a green for the ground from the rear ground bundle. Wiring diagram says it should be conventional with black (diagram shows green) of solenoid going to ground and Y/R going to hot.

The ignition switch did test bad so for right now I want to just hotwire it. I ran power to the circuit for everything else. Gauges light up, headlights, brakelights etc work. If I ground the Y/R the engine will turn over but....no spark.

Guy swears up and down it ran fine prior to clutch going out.

So that being said:

I need some wiring pictures of a talon that has the speakers.

If i had my way Id like to see what the wires from the key switch are going to and what color they are. Same thing for the solenoid at the rear. What color wires and what they are tied into.

Anyone happen to have one easily accessible for pictures??

Well figured it out and lo and behold they use the ignition switch to complete the ground back to the cdi box and it supplies the voltage back to the rest of the machine. Just amazing. First I've seen this and p.s. The wiring diagram was wrong. Granted this is a 2006 model. Maybe they changed it later or something.

just saw this read the 1st post and was gonna tell you the same thing you posted in your 2nd post. every switch completes a ground "backwards so to speak. i've owned 4 carters ad this is the only brand ive had or worked on that is wired this way.
