Power wheels battery

Well the battery on my buggy is no good.
I tried and started my buggy on the 12v power wheels battery. Awe yeah.
Saving money and rechargeable.
The only down side I an think of is if I get caught on the trails with a dead battery it would be a little difficult to jump. Only because the custom power wheels post. I would have to keep to little wires handy.
What do you guys think about this?
Good or bad?

I try to think about being stranded on the trail through everything I buy/install/mod and how it will effect me and the possible rescuer. If the battery holds a good steady charge, then why not, but I see some guys opting for a bigger motorcycle battery for more reserve capacity.

True that.... Then I will go with my second option a big lawn and. Tractor battery.
That will do much better. Probably out a battery box on rear rack.
I would probably only get maybe 20 starts on PW battery then need to charge for a few hours. Thanks for the input.

I can say that the power wheels batteries do not hold up, at least for my kids. I replaced them with motorcycle batteries for more juice.

Ya, I went ahead and bought a medium/large size lawn and garden battery. Bought 10 dollars rubber maid tool box with tray and bolted it down on rear luggage rack and Ran the wires through it. Also has enough storage in it for rope and tools.

I'm planning on putting an ATV type winch on my Carbide and I was going to install a lawn mower battery so it would have more capacity.

Depending on the size of the winch, you might want to maybe look at a group 35 battery, they aren't too much bigger than a lawn mower battery, but have more reserve capacity, and might be cheaper that way. Just my 2 pennies.

I'll have to check that out when the wife lets me spring for the winch, thanks for the input!
