i was wanting to use push button start and kill switch to shut it off

I think that would require 2 switches.

1. ON/OFF switch for the ignition (This would also be your KILL)

2. MOMENTARY ON/OFF switch for the starter

Is the ignition a generic version like on a lawnmower? Does the key switch have the momentary switch condition when turned all the way over and just an ON first position? Then turning the key off is your kill.-Is there a seperate ground or is it possible one of the three terminals is ground- to keep push button switch just go from a hot position on the ignition, perferrably the accessory position so you can't crank it without it being on.

The ignition switch is a simple OFF-ON-MOMENTARY ON switch. None of the three wires going to the switch is a ground. There is a positive input wire, then 2 positive outputs. One output goes to the ignition, the other to the starter relay.

Don't ask me which color wire is which. Take a 12+ test light or multimeter to the wires and it should be simple to find out. One is going to be constantly hot. For the other two, connect 12+ to each wire and when the starter fires, you've figured out the other two.

You could absolutely do it. Probably find the push button starter button at Advance Auto Parts. I'd leave the red push button that is on there intact and keep it as the kill switch and just change out the key based starter / on off.
