PZ19 Carbs

Any of you folks know of any jetting guides to the PZ19 series carbs? Got a new Kandi 90cc for the boy and it won't start with the choke on, but will eventually start with choke off after many cranks. Replaced the stock battery (would barely turn over engine) and spark plug, which helped. Plug looks white-ish but, haven't done more than idle to warm up the motor and change the oil, and a slow loop around the yard ( my son's first time driving anything but a "power wheel" like ride) so I can't give it the whole 300' WOT test.

Have you pulled the carb apart to make sure there isn't any debris blocking a port? I know it is a new unit, but there is a chance some shipping debris or weld slag got in there and is causing your issue. I would not think a brand new carb would need to be rejetted without doing mods first.

Nope, I haven't done anything to the carb yet as I don't know a thing about this type of carb.

Took the carb off, but it's EPA restricted, so I'll have to extract the plugs from it and get some screws to replace them before i can get at the guts. I pulled the top off and hosed it out with carb cleaner reassembled and it actually fired right up with the choke on. Didn't run for long, but definitely starts better. If I could get it apart and really clean it out I bet it would be fine. Not sure if I should bother and just spend $20 on one thats not EPA sealed.

The place I bought it from, asked me to send it back. They'll drill out the rivets and plugs and mail it back to me. Already have another on the way though, with a non-EPA filter and such.
