HH 150 vs. 250
 
Well I think I narrowed it down to the hammerhead brand.But what size to I get??What's the difference between the 150 and 250 besides 100cc and the price.
speed?
torque?
durability?
mods?
I'm kinda leaning towards the 150cc and the only reason being is about 5yrs ago I bought a china quad(kazuma)250cc water cooled and had nothing but problems:overheating,cloged rad,if the thing got wet at all it would die and would not restart for hours.At the same time a friend bought the same quad but a air cooled 150cc and never had a problem.Pls everyone chime in a let me know what you think.

150s mod : low price
250's dont mod : high price

Well there's a pretty good price difference but there is a pretty good power difference to, so I am told. I have not yet owned the HH 250 but have owned other 250's of both the CN250 and the CFMoto flavor. Both of them would outrun any of our 150's. If you take a look at some of the vids on our you tube channel at http://www.youtube.com/buggymasters you can see the difference via a few drag races.

On the other hand, I drove an early 2005 Kinroad that I am confident that my Helix would outrun. If possible, drive both and then make your decision.

The HH 250 has independent rear suspension, making off road riding much more comfortable. I'm not really sure about many other significant differences.

I would go with the 250cc.

the 250 will ride much better, but cost more. on the hh's both are very good in trails, the passenger compartment is the same. either one would be a good choice, it would depend on your budget and which one you are most comfortable with

I would also go with the 250, mainly because of its 20hp powerhouse!

If you get the 150cc, you're going to regret not getting
the 250cc later on in the future.

Ok,let me ask this,150cc with the popular mods roller,main spring,uni,jetted,piped vs. stock 250.Who would win?Not only in a drag,but overall performance,hills etc.If I get the 250 there will be no money left for mods at $3200,on the other hand the 150 at 2199+400 in mods I still have $600 in my pocket.Just trying to get the most for the buck.what do ya'll think.

both cons and pros
250 pros-hi low, tranny, 20hp, irs, awsome power, great trail machine,bigger stance,more comfetable.
250 cons-realy are non except it is a tad bit wider than the 150

150 pros-smaller, good trail machine, easy to mod, great value.
150 cons-not as much power as a 250, no irs, no hi low tranny.

if i were you i would get the 250ss.

if you wwant the best amount still in your pocket you get 150
get a 250 you get no money and a great machine

The HH150 and 250 body size are the same.

The HH250 SS has Hi / Lo & Reverse transmission. (CF Moto)
The Lo is good when climbing hills.

With the 250cc, you can do some inexpensive mods
that can make a little difference.

If money is an issue, I can honestly say that a Stock Hammerhead SS 250cc
is good machine by itself. If you want to mod something, I recommend doing the CVT first.
1. Sliders / Rollers
2. Main Torque Spring.

Go on Craigslist see if there's anyone selling one used.

this all depends on what you want from the buggy, if you want good out of the box performance and ride then go for the 250. if you dont mind a rougher ride and are willing to mod the 150 then go for it.

as said in the above post the 250 has the h/l tranny and is a good climber with good speed with out doing anything to it. if you wanted more from the 250 the cvt mods are cheap enough and are easy to do
