You have maintenance that has to be performed on a regular basis to keep the CLUTCH portion working properly.The driven part of the CVT system doesn't require as much maintenance. If it won't move or act like it wants to move something is broken or the engine/belt adjustment has changed.You need to remove the belt/chain guards and inspect the CVT,elevate the rear tires and with it running observe if the clutch is closing in on the belt. Let us know what you find.
