'twas a fleeting thing ... found a 3-inch crack in one of the headpipes. left a little too much "swing" in the new exhaust hangars and must have stressed the crusty old thing taking the muffler on and off so many times.
So that's on the bench for a weld and strengthening session and also am in the midst of fabbing up new spindles for the front (thicker wall tube with a different axle angle on them.) also pig rich, time to start working the main jets down.
still shooting for new shocks up front and a possible rim/tire change up there as well. after that, some lightening work here and there and it should be race ready.
