If you have split the case halves you will need the gasket. The right case could be done without gasket but I would use Right Stuff by Permatex. Everything else you can use the gray Permatex. Now if you still have the old gasket on case and it is broken you can use the gray to repair the seal. To clean case just soak in ant degreaser or diesel fuel. If using the purple stuff keep in mind that it will discolor and etch the aluminum if soaked for too long.

Yeah i did split the case had to cause i was told that HH transmission i bought would bolt up to it but as you know it doesn't.
