No way to do so. Usually there should be a sticker on the engine with EPA certification, it will have the year of certification. If 2007 or later the date will be the mfg of engine. One thing you need to know is if it is a basic GY6 motor or a SYM GY6 motor. If it is a sym it will be marked somewhere on the engine usually in raised or sunken letters. The SYM is a totally different motor than the basic GY6 for engine parts will not interchange.
