did you get the nut off? one reason i always advise not to use impacts on or off is A. chewing up the threads and B.--over torquing it and flaring the contact surfaces. OOhhh, was that TWO reasons not to use one? LOL Takes five minutes, a drill, two bolts and a piece of 3/16ths or 1/4 flat stock to make a spanner tool to hold the variator and clutch and use a breaker bar and torque wrench.
so anyway if you've lost your nut, you may have to gently tap the clutch bell with a deadblow, leather or plastic hammer going all the way around and around to free it if it was whaled on with an impact gun. no hammer of that type, then use a chunk of 2x4 ...gently you don't want to bend the shaft, your just trying to shock it loose. normally, they should just slip right off.
