I would definately take the yellow clutch arm springs out. We did and were really happy with that decision because our style riding is the same as yours. In all honesty, I have a set of 12g dr pulleys sitting here and a yellow main to put in the new helix when I feel like it. I have to wait (hopefully today) for a few more parts and I will be able to have mine on the road so to speak. What I plan on doing from here forward is actually marking the amount of time it takes to run my track, then I will make the mod, and run it again and see what I picked up.

I also use a hand held GPS (Garmin NUVI) to verify my speeds so I know if I am going faster or slower after mods. Do you have access to one of those? I'd like to know how fast it is really going. I can tell you that after the sliders and the main spring, you should still be able to hit about 40 mph and with a CDI and a little bigger tires, maybe a little more.
