Not sure what kind of electric impact you have, I only use my electric if a breakdown occurs on a ride. I normally use an air impact. Soaking it with Kroil oil should break up any corrosion. If possible try an air impact gun, if not try short bursts with your impact to break it loose. One problem if very corroded is you have dissimilar metals of aluminum and carbon steel which can fuse together making it tough to remove the nut. But that is the case with the variator. The clutch is all steel.It could be your impact does not have enough power especially if it was installed using air.
