Yeah, its a catch22 with the mini bike/go kart stuff. Most clutches have the sprocket as part of the bell, and only the higher end ones can you change out the sprocket. I would open up the intake and maybe the exhaust to let it breathe, that might give it the oomph she needs to get up those hills.
As for your MB, grab one of those predators, and open the intake and exhaust, and you will be pleasantly surprised how fast those things can go. If you want, I can try to dig up some kart racing sites for parts.
