If you haven't done it yet don't gut your exhaust I did and it was way to loud even with a helmet on. No power gain at all it actually lost power. I replaced it with a fmf spark arrestor muffler and it is still loud but better after I welded a washer 7/8 inside the 1 1/4 tail pipe to add back pressure.
My first muffler mod was the best with a 3/4 inch inside diameter tail pipe in place of the 5/8 stock tail pipe tip.
