hey ckau I actually did cut the plate off the spare starter and it took all of 5 minutes I used a dremel with a small cut off wheel and worked perfect but then once I cut it off I forgot with direction on the starter was correct and wrong lol so I just stuck the other one back in in the original position as taking starters on and off a half dozen times in one day was enough for me
