You just pull the chain tight, squeeze it together, and wrap tape or a tie wrap around the chain to keep it pinched together. Then you carefully drape it down over the edge of the head or the cylinder if you remove the head. If you use a tie wrap then know that it will snag a bit as you remove and replace the head. Thats why i say use tape.
