Most of the OEM gaskets are a grey color, hard to distinguish from the aluminum case. Sometimes a piece of old gasket material can be over loooked, causing a leak.... solution...you already know that one.

Glad to see a young man tackle a problem head-on like that. Only way to learn, then your accomplishments can speak for you. Well done man.
