So, I should be getting the exhaust back today, capping off my engine build. I removed the vacuum petcock from my gas tank installed a gravity feed, and capped off the vacuum nipple on the intake, filled up fluids, threw the battery in, and cranked the motor (with the gas off) to make sure there were no evil metal on metal noises, and all seems well so far. I've got the dash apart for a custom dash project that I'll document in a separate post, but it's looking like I'll be firing up the buggy today for the first time in months. As a mechanical newbie, I found the gy6 really easy to work on, and I don't have any fear of having to "split the cases" anymore.
