My yerf is the old style made in the US, prior to yerf contracting with China to manufacture them for Sam's Club. Never had a problem with fuel feed. Tank has only a 3/16" nipple off tank with a filter between tank and carb, no cutoff. Make sure you are not running the wrong filter. There are two type of filters for small engines. Ones designed to be used with pump pressure and ones used with a gravity feed. The filter used must allow fuel to flow freely without any pump pressure. The other type filter will work but will be slow with the fuel delivery since they have more restriction. Also make sure you have the correct and functioning vented fuel cap. If fuel cap is not venting properly it will also slow the delivery of fuel. Also make sure your carb vent is not plugged for this will also create your problem
