Never owning a carbide and just seeing the swingarm configuration it appears you could put an atv type motor. Polaris with their transmission might fit pretty easy without having to add an additional shifter-(you might need to stretch the swingarm some). The Honda trx200sx motor is a 5 speed w/reverse semi-auto clutch and the chain would be on the driver side it has plenty of power with your stock axle sprocket and fairly easy to find-(near bullet proof engine) but you'd need to add or possibly modify the shifter already have.
