Default throttle cable snapped?

I bought a sunl 150 cart. It sat outside for a l ong time and I guess moisture set up inside the throttle cable, anyway the cable snapped in half. Can I just ceimp the two pieces together and make it work? I have already beenover budget with other things or I would just buy. New one. Maybe solder the two pieces?
I have installed these new parts; carb, stator, cdi, coil, ignition switch, headlight switch, new paint, rhino lined the bottom, an battery. I traded this cart for about three quarters of a non running banshee lol.
Any ideas on the cable would be appreciated

take the cable pieces to your local bike shop. they should be able to make you a cable up for a reasonable price. solder won't cut it. trying to salvage the old one isn't worth the hassle, probably has a lot of rust and dirt inside the housing.
