Problems starting...
Well, it got worse...
Before (like two weeks ago) the buggy would need a spritz of carb cleaner, and it'd start up (after a second or two of cranking) and then have to sit for a minute before I could gas it at all. Now, it BARELY starts with carb cleaner, then it promptly dies; whether I gas it or not. The longest I got it to run was 8 seconds... I took off the air filter (damn I need a UNI) all clean, I just took off the carb, and I was in the process of removing the fuel bowl and one of the screws is stripped so right now I'm waiting for the dremel to charge so I can grind new notches in the screw head for a flat-head screw driver instead of Philips. Anything you guys recommend I test/tweak? It was running perfectly last fall after the ($200) shop visit... Like 1/4 second start perfect... Man this sucks. Anyway, I'm off to test the auto-choke. Thanks ahead of time for any response! Hope to see some of ya fellas on the trails later this year!

For stripped carb screws use a small metal chisel on the edge of the screw and knock that edge in the direction of loosening.

However, I still need them with the reverse. My dad won't let me re-mount the lever so I have to let them do it... How do I adjust the air/fuel ratio? IDK which screws to turn. LOL

we don't have one. Go figure... I keep trying the dremel 1/2 way through it charging and burn it out quickly. Now I'm actually gonna let it sit and charge the whole way and try it around 6 or 7 ish tonight

Just clamp a small vice grip onto the screw and break it loose. Then replace the screw. Check the pilot jet. It probably has a small piece of trash clogging it.

Jet's are perfectly clean, but can I run anything through them to be completely 100% sure? I could see through them, ran a strand of copper from an electrical wire through to be sure no particles were in there and I got nothing, the rest of the inside of the carb is squeaky clean. Also, how do I measure my float height? Thanks guys!

the way I always check my carbs is simple. make sure all gas is out of it. then turn it upside down with the bowl removed and look at the float. it should be level with the carb. body. simple and always worked for me. I'm sure there will be others that have more ways to check it.

Grassland power (they have a website, but be ready to travel back to 1999). They wanted $200 and we haggled it to 160 because it was completely unreasonable.
We brought it in with it not staying running without gassing it, despite screwing in the idle screw (probably just needed a good ol' cleaning in the carb) and they magically "fixed it" for $160. They didn't tell us exactly what they did; at the time I knew almost nothing about these and in a way I'm glad I didn't clean it myself back then. I feel like I would have managed to mess it up some how. Ehhh live and learn. Photo bucket isn't showing the summary video I made on my bucket so ill try again tomorrow

LOL never dawned on me, but that is true. And I think that's what happened with this one because I went to adjust the air screw, and found there was none. However, on my spare carb there was...interesting. The carb on the kart was labeled p-24 or something like that, the one off of it had a big long sku on it...
So since I can't get my vid to work now here's a pic as it sits

Oh boy u put jb weld on that reverse gear box nut . Next time just use lock tight then use a impact gun to take it off when need be and when u tighten it just do it by hand.
