Default yerfdog spiderbox rear axle upgrades?????

hello my possible new friends. I picked up a spiderbox 150cc for my 8 yr old son. curious if anyone has done a rear end Mod eliminating the single rear axle and converting to dual independent? I dont even know if this is possible with this type of buggy, but the engine bouncing up and down is killin me also, I want to widen the rear end at least. I have seen $250 for an upgraded rear steel axle from **********.....does anyone know alternative to that high cost?
thx for your comments and time. there is more to come.

As of yet there is no IRS for the spider box. I have one on the chalk board in the back part of my brain but have yet to initiate the project.
The axle is do-able. It's fairly easy to do a axle conversion that can give you a 54" width wheelbase .. It's not a bolt on! It will require some welding and a little machine work to modify the hubs.
I posted a parts list and instruction at one time so it's somewhere in the archives. If you can't find it let me know I'll post it again.
