Default help please trouble with my torque converter

the pulley on the back the one with the spring opens up when i give it throttle but it wont close when i stop it stays open. so then it wont ingage again. what it wrong????

What type of torque converter (driven unit)- Comet style? If so you'll first need to lubricate the area or shaft at the spring.There is a very thin bushing between the pulleys and the main shaft for it to slide on.
Post a pic, if you can so we can see if everything looks correct

I suspect that it was assembled wrong. If you post a pic of it, we can tell you what needs to be done.
