hello i was looking to purchase a fmf muffler but not sure where to find one for 120.......could someone give me a website to get one.......help is apprecitated

I have seen blade power sports has the fmf clamp on muffler for 124.95. I almost bought one but decided to weld a 3/4 inch tip on my stock muffler for now. It works good and is still quiet so the neighbors dont freak out when I tune it on our street.
I heard the fmf is loud but if thats not a problem go for it.
I would jet the carb up to a 125 to start and see how it runs.
Some other buggie tuners may have a better jeting suggestion.
With my dune 150 with a orange cdi 3/4 inch muffler tip and srp 58.5 high compression piston I found a 122 main worked best. I did start with a 125 jet and it would bogg. Whet to the 122 ran good, went down to a 120 and it ran hot and no top end.
I did the jetting with short runs so I would not damage the motor.
We also ride in 80 to 95 degree dry desert at sea level.

thanks for the info.....would a 130 jet work and i was also going to ask if a 10.5 gram slider and a 1500rpm spring would be good and im not sure what size uni filter to get for my carbide 150

The 10.5 sliders and 1500 spring will give you buggie alot more take off and climbing power. I have found that the lighter sliders/rollers give you more instant power.
As for the 130 jet I think it is a bit big for a 150 engine unless it is totally modified out.
The uni filter we are running is the 1.5 inch inside diameter clamped on a sink drain pipe that we got at home depot and cut it to about 5 inches, and a radiator hose from autozone that is about 4 inches long.
They have uni filter kits on line but we wanted to go cheap and it works awesome.
Keep the filter clean and oiled for best performance and life of your motor.

You might loose a couple mile an hour but it will be up to you to try it and see if the trade off is worth it. Every buggy is different and trial and error is part of the game. I recommend you keep a buggy log book of all you changes to keep track of what works and doesn't. What kind of buggy do you have?

I was happy with 10 sliders and 1500rpm spring in our Baja dune 150 stock motor. Good take off and climbing but did hurt the top speed a bit. Maybe 12 gram sliders or 10/12 sliders will work good.

Unless you don't have access to a welder, or someone who can weld, I would save the $120, and look for one on ebay, I have seen some of those cans go for 25-50 depending on the application and condition. I picked a Two Brothers carbon fiber can off a GSXR 1000 for $20 off a co-worker cause it had some road rash on it. It's way too big for my engine, but I will cut it down and weld an adapter pipe to it, but for $20, I couldn't pass it up.
