Welcome chop123

I would check compression to make sure your valves and rings are good.
Did you try to put some oil down the spark plug hole to see if you can get some compression?
You will need a compression tester with a 10mm plug fitting. Our stock buggys were at 125/130 psi. Also while cranking the motor try to spray starter fluid around the carb to the intake boot because they can crack and leak from time and heat.

I agree with johnny5 ... and yes put an orange hp coil get rid of the stock coil. Its one of the first things everyone should change out on there buggy. My baja150 started acting up not wanting to start like it needed tunning and turned off on me pulled it home and it was my spark plug coil. Changed it out for the orange hp. Never had a starting problem again. Its been about 6months... don't wanna jinks myself...Eddie.

There are cdi that you manually adjust. But most are plug and play. Oil in the plug hole not sure will wait for johnny5 to chime in on that.

Sorry for not being clear, what I meant was to check cylinder compression and if it is low put a little oil down the spark plug hole and recheck the compression.

I sometimes think that every body can read my mind, sorry.

Putting oil down the spark plug hole will tell you if the rings are worn on a compression test .

As for the cdi I got a orange advanced cdi from scrappy dog scooter for 20 bucks and it worked on my buggy but didn't run so good on my wife's buggy for top speed. Each application is different.
