Default Who hates the factory electrical box on their buggy?

Is it just me, or does every journey into the electrical box feel like stuffing spaghetti into a coffee cup? Can I just put all that crap in nice roomy water/dust proof box that Amazon would be happy to send me in two days?

Default Mine was missing

My buggy had the electrical box cover missing when I got it.
That coupled with the fact that my entire wire harness was butchered and severely damaged by the Arizona sun led me to the inevitable requirement to do something with all the new wires.

My plan is to use a heavy duty plastic ammo can mounted to the original factory plate only thing that will remain outside of the can will be the regulator due to its need for air flow for cooling.
I will be working on it this week end and post some pics here once I get it done.

Any "gotchas" to doing a custom box? Like grounding issues or anything? If I can just bolt all that crap in a different box, I'm doing it..

not really i usually , when i bolt the box down run one longer bolt backwards ( so it nuts in the box. this way i can run all my grounds inside the box then use a second nut to hold all of the loops down. bolt the rectifier outside of the box so it catches air and cools.
