Was the CVT suspect for slow acceleration is that why you changed the belt? Give us more info- Does it start okay?Does it accelerate well if the back tires are elevated?

When you change out the belt, you must ensure the rollers did not fall out of place in the front pulley (variator). What you are describing sounds like a cocked roller.

sorry for the lack of info guys im only new to this and learning as i go, i had to put a new belt on because the old one was broke when i bought it, acceleration is fine when the back tires are off the ground but just wont accelerate as i go up hill,as for the rollers i didnt take that part of the clutch off so im gessing that should be fine but thats a job for 2morrow

If you didn't check the rollers, they get skewed sideways (sometimes damaged) and prevent the CVT from down shifting leaving you in high gear.

just a wee update got new rollers last week and put the in sucessfully put the clutch belt back on but when i went to put the spark plug in it rung the threads on the head so just after getting it back 2day after getting a helli-coil in it and now it wont start think its the diaphraghm on the fuel intake valve on the carb (the small one on the side) so as of yet i dont know if the new rollers are working or not
