Default Hammerhead 150 seems un responsive off the line

Ok ive got a HH150 i rebuilt not long ago 58.5 jug and piston and i just put an A-11 cam in last week and it seems to have lost a ton of torque compared to the stock cam but went from 27 mph to 41 mph. So i installed a set of howit final drive gears in and its got its torque back and stills runs a tad over 30 mph but it just feels like it still aint got the throttle response it had with the stock cam? (feels like its taking to long to build up rpms)

My crossfire still destroys the HH in the throttle response area and runs 45 too boot.

HH list of mods.

Uni filter
HH exhaust
58.5 jug and piston
10g sliders
A-11 cam
125...ish main
35 pilot have also tried 40

Crossfire 150
Uni filter
Some sota ebay glasspack style muffler off a buggy at the junkyard
60mm jug with HC piston
Big port head with SS valves and titanium springs
A-12 cam
130 main
38 pilot
12g sliders
yellow clutch springs
yellow contra
custom oil cooler

Oly issue ive had with the crossfire is it wants to randomly "burp" when you punch it fron no throttle to wot (HH also does it every once ina while)

sounds like carb/jetting to me then. Do you have a clear fuel line, if not I highly recommend swapping over to clear fuel line just to make sure you are getting correct fuel flow. Also a inline filter. Did u check spark plugs?

Plugs show slight tan (put another new one in just to make sure) im beginning to think its a bad head. hard to start wont idle worth a **** half the time it just surges and and its all erratic.....have tried 4 different known good carbs new intake and intake gaskets all with same results. valves have been checked multiple times. So head is the only thing not new.

Edit. that rant was for the HH...not the crossfire. crossfire runs and screams other than the occasional burp. but the crossfire also reads good on the plug and idles smooth as butter and there's no pattern to the burping...sometimes it'll only do it once ina days worth of riding and then some times once it starts it'll do it just about every time you let of and get back in it.

Try swapping the sparkplug wire from the crossfire and see what happens.... If nothing check all your electrical connections in the box, and harnesses and get back to us.

Ok power loss was broke intake valve spring....got that fixed...just for future reference changing springs with head still on motor is a bitch lol. But idle is still erratic...had it idled good then it just started getting lower and lower so had to keep adjusting idle screw higher and it sounds like its loading up.

Also tried different coils and CDIs....wiring is a mess on both buggys....no electrical boxes on either :/ the HH does have something wrong with the electrical cause sometimes it charges and sometimes it dont....something to do with a relay under the dash.

Miamieddie can you post a pic of your exhaust you got from JD? i called a couple weeks ago and talked to him about them and as soon as i get some spare money im gonna have him build me 2 and i wanna see what they look like.
