Unhappy need help fuel problems

Ok let start by saying hello and am new to the hole buggy thing.
alright i bought a used 150cc buggy, before i got to test drive it was running then died on test drive but bought it any way. got it home had spark and 121 psi of compression no fuel (bad fuel pump) so when with the hole gravity thing after cleaning the carb 3 times. Heres the problem it starts then dies give it gas with the fuel valve close and runs open valve floods out carb. am using 1/4 clear tubing. and when just sitting there fuel is coming out the air filter side of carb.what gives
